Easy access to Fort Worth means easy access to world-class cultural events, big-city entertainment, and special attractions.

  • Just 30 minutes to the Fort Worth Cultural District: If you are looking for family-friendly attractions in downtown Fort Worth, consider these options - Fort Worth Water Gardens, Burnett Park, or the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History—Head West of FM 917. Merge onto the Chisolm Trail Parkway and stay on it until you reach downtown Fort Worth.
  • Kimball Art Museum: This world-class museum is not to be missed! The Kimball Art Museum has a wide variety of art on display.  Everything from ancient sculptures to modern masterpieces is there to see and appreciate. The exhibits are curated to give visitors a broader understanding of art history. To get there from Silo Mills, head west on FM 917 until you reach Farm-to-Market Road 2331. Take a right onto 2331 and follow it until you reach your destination. The Kimball Art Museum is at 3333 Camp Bowie Blvd, Ft. Worth, TX 76107.
  • Morning Commute: If you’d rather ride than drive to your job in Fort Worth, commuters can take the Trinity Metro Train from Godley to Fort Worth Central Station.
  • Visit Lake Granbury: How about some “water therapy?” If you want to spend a day at the lake, it’s only 20 miles away. To get to Lake Granbury from Silo Mills, head east on Silo Mills Road. Merge on to US-377 S. Continue on US-377 S until you reach Granbury. Recreational opportunities at Lake Granbury include a sandy beach at City Beach Park, perfect for swimming and picnicking, with public restrooms, a spray park, SUP/volleyball/bicycle concessionaire, kayak rentals in the summer, and picnic pavilions available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Also, it’s a great place to access the boardwalk. In addition, City Beach is within walking distance of Granbury’s historic downtown square where there are many places to eat and shop. 
  • Dinosaur Valley State Park: For some mysterious reason, kids really love dinosaurs. If you are the proud parent of a little paleontologist, or if you just want to walk in the footsteps of dinosaurs, then this state park near Fort Worth is worth the trip! To get there from Silo Mills, head west on FM 917 until you reach the Chisolm Trail Parkway South. Exit onto US-67 S/US-377 S toward Glen Rose. Follow US-67 S/US-377 S until you reach Glen Rose. In Glen Rose, follow signs to Dinosaur Valley State Park.

  • Grocery/ Pharmacy: Brookshire’s, a grocery store in Joshua, has been in business since 1928 . To get there from Silo Mills, take FM 917 W. Keep straight and get on E. 14th St. Turn right on TX-174. Turn right on Joshua Station Blvd. Brookshire’s is on the corner. 
  • Shopping Spree: The Shops at Clearfork cater to their customers. Only the best will do!  This open-air shopping, dining, and entertainment venue wants patrons to enjoy a pleasurable buying experience. To get there from Silo Mills, Take FM 917 W to the Chisolm Trail Parkway. Follow the signs to Edwards Ranch Road. Turn right on Monahan Ave. Turn right onto Gage Ave.

  • Pleasant View Elementary: Located adjacent to the Silo Mills community, Pleasant View Elementary is a mere 223 feet away. Take the Silo Mills Parkway south for 4 minutes and you’ll arrive.
  • Godley 6th Grade Campus: Located 6.5 miles from Silo Mills, the campus can be reached by taking the Silo Mills Parkway to W FM 917. Bear right onto W. Links Dr. Take a left onto N. Pearson St / FM 2331. Turn right and you’ve arrived.
  • Godley Middle School: 8 miles from the Silo Mills community. Take Silo Mills Parkway to FM 917. Take a right onto TX 171-N Highway 171. Entrance is to the left.
  • Godley High School: 8 miles from the Silo Mills community. Take Silo Mills Parkway to FM 917. Take a right onto TX 171-N Highway 171. Entrance is to the left.
